SteelSeries SP Mouse Pad

If you're a gamer, you know how important your mouse surface is. Many gamers out there have different preferences on the feel of their desired mouse surface for maximum comfort. Tonight, we'll take a look at a mouse pad from SteelSeries, a company which its main mission is to create performance enhancing gaming gear. They are well known throughout the gaming community, especially the professional circuits. We would like to thank the SteelSeries team for making this review possible.

SteelSeries was kind enough to let us review their new SP mouse pad. Let's take a further look at the SP mouse pad. The SP's surface is made of hard textured plastic which can be used with an optical mouse or even a ball mouse. At first use, the mouse surface felt so smooth and our Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0 mouse glides so easily on the SP's surface. SteelSeries also included their Glide MS, mouse feet designed for various Microsoft mouse. It was designed to reduce friction created by the mouse feet and the mouse pad itself. Thus improving the mouse's movement over the mouse pad's surface.

When we attached the Glide MS with our Explorer 3.0 mouse, the feel was even better. We played several FPS games as well as RTS games to really see how comfortable the mouse surface is. During both times, the level of comfort and fluidity of the mouse surface is nothing like I've used before. This is by far the best surface I've used any of my mice on.

We really like the look and especially the feel of the SP mouse pad from SteelSeries. If you're a person who plays a lot of PC games and if you're looking for a very good mouse surface, take a look at SteelSeries' line of products.
