Hardware Review
Vizo Propeller
We've looked at a lot of cooling parts for computers in the past. Products that we haven’t looked at are fan cards that go in between your expansion PCI connectors. Tonight we'll take a look at Vizo's Propeller dual fan card. We would like to thank the Vizo team for making this review possible.
Vizo Technology Corporation specializes in computer peripherals, ranging from notebook coolers to external enclosures. You would think these coolers are just your average system cooling solutions. These coolers actually perform very well, directing air flow to one of the most heat intensive part inside your computer, the video card. Often times, stock coolers on video cards can't take in enough cool air to cool down the card. With a fan card's assistance, the flow of cooler air in to the video card is much greater, and thus the video card is more effectively cooled. Here are a few specifications for the Vizo Propeller:
| Dimensions : 207 x 120 x 21.5 mm |
| DC Fan Dimensions : 70 x 70 x 15 mm ( 2 PCS ) |

The Vizo Propeller sports 2 70mm sleeve bearing fans which are rated at 2200 to 3600 RPM and with a noise level range of 20 to 35 dBA. It also uses a manual fan speed control to adjust the fan speed as you desire. The Propeller also has cold blue LED lights to light up your case.

Installation was very simple; a free PCI slot is just needed to install the cooler. The noise level was very silent at the lowest setting. Turning the manual speed controller all the way up did not increase the noise dramatically; it was still relatively quiet even at the highest setting. We recommend a setting in between; this will ensure quiet computing as well as sufficient air flow to the PCI card parts installed in your PC.
The Propeller performed exceptionally well in our test system. It kept the inside of our case's temperature at about 23 degrees and it was relatively quiet throughout our testing. We also like the addition of LED lights with the cooler. If you're on the market for a case cooler, the Propeller is a great alternative. With its excellent cooling performance and low acoustics, we give the Propeller a score of 8 out of 10. If you want to get more information on this product, please kindly visit Vizo's website.
