Hardware Review
NZXT Apollo Gaming Case
We have reviewed a number of LAN party cases before. NZXT has always released elegant looking cases and the NZXT Apollo Mid Tower case is certainly one of them. Upon opening our package and took a glimpse of the case, we couldn't help but compare it to the NZXT Nemesis we have previously reviewed. One thing that did stand out was its smooth edge design as well as the front grills. We would like to thank the NZXT team for making this review possible. Now Let's take a closer look at the case.
As with previous NZXT release cases, the Apollo is a very well crafted case. The front door panel is made of plastic with a see through acrylic to make 5.25" LCD devices see through. Even though the front is made of thin plastic, it will not break under normal usage. The door is also secured by a magnetic seal. The side window also feels very sturdy and is also equipped with a large 120mm LED fan. The side handle also makes the panel relatively easy to remove. NZXT also placed external ports for the case located just on the right side of the front panel.

Internally, the Apollo is well equipped. With room for five 5.25" external drives, one 3.5"external drives and four internal 3.5" drives there's plenty of room for your basic setup. All the drives are secured by the built in tool less plastic brackets. The AGP/PCIE/PCI slot is also secured with locking clips with an extra option of additional screws. With seven expansion slots, should be plenty of room for additional cards.

The chassis is made of steel, supporting ATX, Flex-ATX, Mini-ATX, Micro-ATX and baby-AT boards. There are also plenty of stand-of holes to accommodate a wide range of motherboards. The case also has your usual reset, power, HDD and power LED connectors. There is also an extra 4 pin Molex connector to power up the LED for the front grill of the case.
Aesthetically, the NZXT Apollo is very well designed. From the front panel to the interiors, NZXT does not disappoint. The case is also very well priced. Listed at $89 at Xoxide.com, it will not break the bank. If you're looking for solid gaming case, then take look at NZXT's Apollo case. We give the Apollo case a score of 8 out of 10.
